School Parties.
St Michaels is open ALL YEAR ROUND for holiday's or schools and colleges. We like, and understand all student needs during their stay, and look forward to the hotel being used for this purpose. St Michaels can accommodate up to 60 students and 10 teachers at any time. Should your party contain more than our maximum limit we are able to handle any amount with our contracted hotels very close by. All contracted hotels have been personally inspected, and verified to ensure that the high standard you would expect from St Michaels is being implemented elsewhere. All hotel rooms are en-suite with tea & coffee making facilities furnished in Teachers rooms that are replenished on a daily basis.. Some of our rooms contain several bed's (some up to 6 per room) which is ideal for larger parties. A full room breakdown is available on request so you can allocate your students in advance.
St Michaels does have a fully licensed bar, and this is an ideal place for the teachers to unwind in the evening, while waiting for lights out or for the student pranks to stop so they can go to bed.
There is a choice of breakfast menu, packed lunches, and our highly qualified Chef does a daily Table D'Hote Menu, with selections available for starter, main course and dessert including a vegetarian main meal option (every night !).
Dorset is an exciting place to visit. Apart from many attractions to keep younger students entertained, there are miles of beaches, geographical and geological places of interest. We of course will be more than happy to assist you in any way we can during your visit.
All of our schools re-book year in and year out, and we currently have many returning schools that use our facilities on a yearly basis.
Consumption of Alcohol is not permitted for school parties where the age of consumption is under the legal limit. We do run rigorous sweeps on a daily basis for rooms that are used by students for any alcohol content. Should we find any alcohol (as we have done in the past !) then this will be removed, and destroyed after informing yourself as described in our charter. Our charter also requires us to inform the local off licences prior to your visit of any under age school presence. Thus insuring your stay at St Michaels will be a happy and a productive one for you and your students at all times.
